Bottom left is looking towards Karnak. Top right is in front of the Emilio Hotel
The white Christian Church (top left) is still under dispute as with the one behind it. I am told that the dispute is not yet settled.
At the end of the avenue towards Karnak Temple (top right) the avenue turns right to the Precinct of Mut. It also turns left towards the Nile but as yet is not dug out; the pathway leads off under the soil and the house in its way.

Top left is the house that is in the way and has to come down.
I went behind this house and further on to see if there was any evidence of the avenue towards the Nile. Top right was all I could find that I could gain access to.

Here you can see the Sphinxes at street level
In the shadow of the Sphinx.
I took the above (top left) picture because I could see a group of people sitting under the tree while all this work was going on, knowing that one day, they may have to leave.
