METROPOLITAN DIG HOUSE (POLISH DIG HOUSE)
I had a delightful evening chatting and having tea with Dr. Zbigniew E. Szafranski (Director of the PCMA Cairo Branch) at the Metropolitan Dig House (Polish Dig House) He spoke to me about the history of the house, showed me many old pictures and even spoke of its ghost. Dr. Zbigniew is a lovely man to talk to.
He explained to me that the polish mission is split into three teams. One team working inside Hatshepsut temple, another at the Tuthmosis III section just to the left of Hatshepsut temple and another on the cliff tomb high up on the left of Hatshepsut temple. The team working on the cliff tomb will resume work in a few weeks time.
Earlier in the day I spoke to an Archaeologist to ask if they know the name of the occupant of the cliff tomb, I guessed by his reply that he did not really want to tell me but did say that they think they know what to expect inside.
