Eid Day
Today is Eid day, another holy day for the Muslims, a feast day. It is as crazy here as Ramadan. So many people that you wonder where they come from. They come from many villages outside of Luxor for this day. I went to the ferry to cross to the East Bank and it was amazing, so many people and so many children. The ferry was packed but the nice thing was that everyone was so happy and having fun. I took a movie of the people on the ferry and the Corniche and as I started to film, the children were all around me wanting to be part of it. I had to tell them to step back so that I could get everyone in. On the East Bank it was the same, so many people just walking along the Corniche, sitting and standing, talking, children with trumpets and musical instruments. Such an atmosphere.
